What this search does and does not do
- One search returns at most 10 published documents. There is no second page.
- A search matches the title and the abstract of the published document first, and widens into its claims and description when that returns fewer than the cap.
- Results come from the European Patent Office Open Patent Services register and link to the full document on Espacenet.
What the IP plan adds
In the app, patent search is part of the IP organisation plan, next to the document you are writing.
- Search from the document and cite a patent where the cursor is, in the citation style the document already uses.
- Export the hit list as a CSV file for the matter: publication number, title, applicant, inventors, office and year, with the query and the date it ran.
